Overview

Welcome to advanced driving. S7 marks the transition from intermediate to a level of desert driving that demands complete integration of every skill developed to this point. The dunes are larger. The ridges are taller. And for the first time, speed becomes a deliberate tool rather than something to be managed.

Joining and switching ridges at pace in larger dune systems requires a different quality of commitment and anticipation. The margin for imprecision shrinks. The rewards — the sensation of a large dune system driven with flow and control — are unlike anything in the earlier curriculum.

S7 is where the journey stops feeling like training and starts feeling like mastery.

What you'll cover

• Larger dune systems — extended terrain requiring sustained concentration and decision-making
• Ridge joining at pace — reading the approach at higher speed and committing with precision
• Switching at pace — initiating and completing transitions on tall ridges without loss of momentum or control
• Speed as a tool — understanding when more speed serves the terrain and when precision must take precedence

• Flow — the experience of linking multiple large dune runs with consistency and control

Progression — Marshal sign-off required. Member must demonstrate ridge joining and switching at advanced pace across large dune systems consistently.
